about

Acoustic country waltz

lyrics

SALT AND SIXPENCE
T Randle
Salt and sixpence for your thoughts
Never endings of sorts
Flat as the ocean I will rock you gently
And I’ll try to sway in time
Until you change key

And all of the ladies in their gilded frames
Their painted mouths barely concealing their disdain
Your false bravado makes for interesting reading
And nothing will ever grow, if you don’t stop the bleeding

And if you’ll be my boat,
then I’ll be the blue
And I’ll try not to float,
too close to you
So flicker and dance little light in the inky black sea of me,
and I’ll sail out to greet you,
To greet me

And for every note that is perfect and true,
your imperfections have a much brighter hue
For every look that’s directed at me,
reflects in a mirror for all to see

about

Eyreton Hall Auckland, New Zealand

Andrew Keegan and Toni Randle are the alt folk duo, Eyreton Hall.
From different parts of the antipodes, Toni, born in Christchurch and Andy in Sydney. Toni had a misspent youth filled with dancing, singing and piano lessons. Andy played big band drums and busked every weekend.
Their worlds collided at the Sydney Conservatorium where both were studying that lesser-known folk sub genre – jazz.
